


This year is the first time I've planted zinnias since I was 9. After the killer frost in April, I threw a few packets of their seeds into the herb garden. They took over! And they're still blooming: the flower of the hour. They're so tough, they wither any weeds that even think about sprouting near them. If they weren't so dang pretty, they'd be considered weeds themselves!
